Earlier this month, the Alchemy team had the privilege of attending Quality Comprehensive Health Center’s 20th Anniversary Gala, a celebration of two decades of service, resilience, and commitment to expanding access to healthcare in Charlotte, North Carolina.

During the evening, Alchemy was honored to receive Quality Comprehensive’s first-ever Pillar Award, recognizing our steadfast support, partnership, and leadership in helping advance their mission.

We are deeply grateful for the recognition. But the truth is, we do not do this work for awards. We do it because of partners like Quality Comprehensive, organizations that remind us everyday why this work matters.

Celebrating a Mission That Matters

For more than 20 years, Quality Comprehensive Health Center has served as a critical healthcare anchor for its community, providing primary care, behavioral health, HIV services, case management, and other wraparound programs designed to meet patients where they are.

As CEO Dr. Ra’shawn Flournoy described during the pharmacy launch:

That vision is exactly what drew Alchemy to the partnership.

Quality Comprehensive is not just delivering care. They are removing barriers. From addressing pharmacy access challenges in underserved neighborhoods to investing in services that support the whole patient, their work represents what community healthcare should look like.

A Partnership Built on Shared Purpose

Our partnership began with a simple conversation and quickly became something more meaningful: a shared belief that community health organizations should have the tools they need to control their pharmacy programs and reinvest resources back into patient care.

Together, we launched an in-house pharmacy designed to improve medication access, reduce friction in care delivery, and strengthen Quality Comprehensive’s long-term sustainability But more importantly, we built something stronger than a vendor relationship. We built a true partnership.

Why This Work Matters

At Alchemy, we often say that pharmacies inside community health organizations are not just dispensing medications. They are expanding access, strengthening programs, and helping organizations reinvest in the communities they serve.

That is exactly what we see happening at Quality Comprehensive.

Their team is focused on ensuring patients do not have to choose between transportation and treatment. Between affordability and adherence. Between access and outcomes.

This is what the 340B program was meant to enable, and Quality Comprehensive is putting that vision into action every day.

We Don’t Do This for Awards

Receiving the Pillar Award was a meaningful moment for our team. But what meant even more was standing in a room filled with people who have dedicated their careers to serving others. Organizations like Quality Comprehensive remind us that the real reward is seeing what becomes possible when mission-driven partners work together.

The real reward is seeing a pharmacy open in a pharmacy desert. The real reward is seeing patients gain easier access to the medications they need. The real reward is helping great organizations do even more for their communities.

Looking Ahead

We are honored to stand alongside Quality Comprehensive as they continue their work expanding access to care and strengthening their community impact.

Congratulations again to the entire Quality Comprehensive team on 20 years of incredible service. Thank you for allowing Alchemy to be part of your journey.

We want this place to be the community hub for healthcare for our community. A place where people can receive comprehensive services and feel that they belong.
