Alchemy is growing quickly. Over the past year we’ve expanded our work launching and operating in-house pharmacies with safety-net providers across the country. And our growth is accelerating. By year-end we’re on track to operate 25+ pharmacies with dozens more moving through construction and licensing.
Growth like this only works if the team grows with it. Today I’m excited to recognize two promotions and welcome four new team members who bring deep experience in pharmacy operations, finance, and healthcare strategy. Building the right team is essential to doing this work well and to continuing to deliver for our clinic partners.
Will Hollingsworth is being promoted to Head of Pharmacy Strategy & Operations
Will joined Alchemy as employee #3 and has helped build our pharmacy operations function from the ground up. Over the past two years he has worked across the full lifecycle of our partners, from early planning and launch through scaled operations, and has consistently demonstrated strong operational judgment and deep ownership.
Will has led the launch and ramp of more than a dozen in-house pharmacies across multiple states while helping design the systems that power our network today. He built many of the core implementation and operational playbooks our team now uses to move partners from signed deal to launch and beyond.
As we accelerate toward 25+ operational pharmacies, I’m excited to promote Will to Head of Pharmacy Strategy & Operations. In this role he will help lead the systems and team that support our growing network of pharmacies.
Andy Storjohann, PharmD is being promoted to Director of Compliance
Andy has been instrumental in building Alchemy’s pharmacy compliance foundation. He brings more than 15 years of pharmacy operations and compliance experience and has helped design and build 21 pharmacy sites across our network and counting. Andy originally studied architecture before becoming a pharmacist, which gives him a rare ability to design pharmacies that are both compliant and operationally efficient.
At Alchemy he created the compliance framework our pharmacies operate under and developed a mock inspection program that prepares sites for their yearly Board of Pharmacy inspections. The results speak for themselves. 100% of pharmacies audited under this process have passed their subsequent BoP and DEA inspections.
Andy is licensed as a pharmacist in 20 states and has helped recruit and onboard more than 30 pharmacy staff across our network. I’m excited to watch Andy continue to build out an exceptional pharmacy compliance team.
We’ve also welcomed several new members to the Alchemy team.
Branden Sanders joins us as Director of Finance
As we enter the next phase of growth, building the right financial infrastructure is critical. Branden will oversee accounting, FP&A, forecasting, and cash management while helping us build the systems needed to scale responsibly.
Most recently, Branden led the finance function at Red Balloon, a Series A cybersecurity company, where he built and managed the company’s finance operations. Across prior roles in accounting and FP&A, he has developed a reputation for being equally comfortable in the details and at the strategic level.
Colin McWatters joins us as Senior Manager, Pharmacy Strategy & Operations
Colin brings a wealth of experience in both global and domestic health, including helping expand access to essential diagnostics and medications for communities living with HIV in Rwanda. Combined with an MBA from Harvard Business School and experience at McKinsey & Company, Colin brings a strong set of experiences in finance, strategy, and public health.
At Alchemy, Colin will work directly with our clinic partners on pharmacy launches and ongoing operations. As our network continues to expand, leaders like Colin are essential to ensuring every partner receives the hands-on operational support that defines the Alchemy model.
Jessie Gill, PharmD, AAHIVP, ACE rejoins Alchemy as a Pharmacy Operations Manager
Jessie brings nearly 15 years of pharmacy experience, including a decade focused on serving patients living with HIV. She previously served as Pharmacist-in-Charge at one of Alchemy’s Florida clinic partners, making her the first example of a PIC growing within the Alchemy ecosystem and stepping into a central team role.
Jessie is both a 340B ACE and a credentialed HIV pharmacist, and she will play a critical role supporting our pharmacy network. She is the day-to-day operational arm of the team, working closely with PICs on site performance, workflow, billing, and patient issues. Her work spans audits, site visits, real-time troubleshooting, and 340B education, ensuring our pharmacies are running smoothly and delivering for patients.
Finally, we’re welcoming Shubham Gupta 340B ACE, as our Partnerships Intern
Shubham is currently an MBA candidate in Healthcare Management at Wharton. Prior to business school he worked as a consultant at ZS Associates advising life sciences companies in the HIV space.
During the recruiting process, Shubham’s initiative stood out immediately. When we first spoke I mentioned we typically did not bring on interns but suggested he pursue a 340B ACE certification if he wanted to keep the conversation going. He did exactly that. That level of drive made it clear he was someone we wanted to work with.
We’re incredibly excited about the team we’re building and what it will enable as Alchemy scales. We continue to hire rapidly. If you’re interested in serving safety-net clinics and the patients who rely on them, we’d love to connect.
