Learning Path

  • Lesson 1: An Overview of 340B

Learn why Congress created the 340B program, which safety-net providers can participate, and how discounted outpatient drugs help clinics stretch limited resources and expand patient care.

  • Lesson 2: Key Stakeholders of 340B

Meet the major players in the 340B ecosystem and understand how products, payments, and reimbursements move among them. Learn why the covered entity remains at the center of the program and ultimately responsible for it.

  • Lesson 3: How 340B Generates Mission-Aligned Savings

Follow a prescription from discounted drug acquisition through payer reimbursement to understand how 340B generates net proceeds. See how those proceeds can become meaningful resources for patient care.

  • Lesson 4: Maximizing the Use of 340B Proceeds

Explore how grantees can reinvest 340B proceeds into uncompensated care, expanded services, and community programs. Real-world examples demonstrate how clinics turn savings into greater access and better outcomes.
